The house and the seaL’Angioletta is located in a privileged position overlooking the sea. The sea is 12 metres below ground level. There are two access points to the free beaches below. One is directly from the spiral staircase leading down from the patio and the other is from the kitchen service exit. The beach is made up of gravel, pebbles, rocks and sand. A few metres from the villa, you can reach the Imperia-Bordighera cycle path, which passes through Sanremo. The villa is on two floors and is enclosed by a stainless steel gate. From the car park, descending the large staircase, fuchsia bougainvillea greet us, framing the turquoise door of the entrance, which is somewhat hidden and camouflaged by the greenery. Upon entering, you immediately get the impression of a unique residence. The interiors still retain their original 1960s furnishings and finishes. The wide staircase in white marble and turquoise tiles is striking, and from the first landing, a large rectangular window overlooks the Mediterranean garden and the sea. On the first floor is the sleeping area with two large master bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms (one with a shower and the other with a bathtub). Between the two rooms is a large antechamber. A few steps down is another smaller guest room with two beds that can be pushed together. After another small flight of stairs, you reach the living area, which is lit by many windows and features a small study corner, a large kitchen (with induction hob, refrigerator, dishwasher and washing machine), and a large living room with a square window overlooking the sea and a very large French window that opens onto the outdoor patio. The outdoor space is the heart of Angioletta: a spectacular horseshoe-shaped patio with a large garden of succulents and ornamental plants in the centre, where you can have lunch, relax in the shade, sunbathe, enjoy the garden and the constant salty breeze laden with iodine. Another double bedroom with a large bathroom overlooks the patio. Summer and winter air conditioning is provided by an inverter heat pump. Hot water is produced by a heat pump, saving energy and respecting the environment. The house is gas-free and zero-emission.
The environmentThe villa for rent is located in Piani di Cipressa near Marina degli Aregai. Shops and a pharmacy are 300 metres away. San Lorenzo al Mare is 2.5 kilometres away on one side and Santo Stefano al Mare on the other side towards Sanremo, with all amenities and beautiful sandy beaches. From the house and the patio, the only sound you can hear is the waves of the sea. From the entrance to the patio, there is a large window overlooking the sea. The blue of the sky and the sea merge on the horizon, which is never the same, sometimes blurred, sometimes contrasting with colours. The fiery sunsets towards Sanremo offer unique emotions at any time of year, and when the north wind blows, Corsica seems close by. Moving around the house and patio, your gaze always falls on the waves of the sea, scanning the harmony of the sails that cross the horizon between Corsica and Sanremo. In spring, in the small space under the patio facing the sea, the yellow flowers of the garrigue and the unusual flowers of succulent plants, the aroma of wild lavender and the salty scent of tamarisk trees create sensations that remain etched in the mind even of those who visit this environment briefly or superficially. Here, the bright orange flowers of aloe and the yellow flowers of agave, which rise like trees towards the sky, reign supreme. The house enjoys the mild climate of the Ponente in all seasons. A holiday at Angioletta is an unparalleled experience, capable of restoring the body, thanks to the beneficial combined effect of sun and iodine, and regenerating the spirit. The cycle path along the seafront is very picturesque and provides access to neighbouring villages and beaches that were previously only accessible by sea.
